Our Beetle Graveyard
Owning and driving an older car can be a rewarding experience. But once they get to the twenty year old mark and beyond, regular maintenance and a good supply of spare parts becomes critical. Often it’s small things that aren’t readily available, like bits of trim. Or it can be larger items such as panels. Keeping on top of the ongoing maintenance and repair tasks that occur with cars this age can mean the difference between having a clean, reliable car and a pile of junk in a few short years – even with cars that are as well built as Volkswagens.

One option is to have one or two parts cars in the back (or front) yard. However, if you aren’t careful this can lead to your garden looking something like the above picture. A better way is to take advantage of our Beetle graveyard.

Over the years we’ve accumulated a large stock of parts cars and other cars that are suitable for restoration. That stock makes it easier for you to hunt down those hard to find or no longer available parts. At the moment we have a good range of late ’60s and early ’70s Beetles, a number of Kombi’s, a Kombi ute (pictured), a Type III fastback and the odd Passat and Golf all for wrecking.
Other cars such as a clean and straight Type III wagon and a ’56 oval window Beetle are too good to wreck. They’ll be project cars at some stage. Why not drop in and see for yourself? If you’d like information on any particular parts or models, send me an email.
